App privacy policy for Druckarchiv

1. Local processing by design

Druckarchiv manages library folders expressly selected by the user on the Mac. Libraries, models, preview data, search indexes, favorites, duplicate information, tags, and settings are processed locally. The app does not require a Druckarchiv account and does not transmit models or library contents to Druckarchiv.

No telemetry, crash analytics, advertising, or analytics services are intended for the Mac App Store build of version 1.0. Druckarchiv does not collect app data for Apple's App Privacy disclosure. This statement will be checked again against the final signed Store build and all included components before submission.

2. Library access and local storage

The intended Mac App Store build uses App Sandbox. Access is limited to library folders selected by the user through the macOS system dialog. Security-scoped bookmarks are stored only locally to restore previously granted access. The Store build is not intended to have blanket access to the home folder or entire disk.

Druckarchiv works directly in the selected folders. Following an explicit user action, it may add files, create folders, rename or move items, or place files and folders in the operating system's Trash. These local operations are not collection or transmission of data to Druckarchiv. If a Trash operation fails, the app does not fall back to permanent deletion.

3. Apple App Store, purchase record, and updates

Updates for the Mac App Store edition are provided exclusively through the Mac App Store. Druckarchiv operates neither its own updater nor its own license server in that edition.

The intended Store build locally verifies an Apple-signed purchase record or StoreKit-verified app transaction. Core features remain available offline after successful verification. Only a restore or refresh of the Apple purchase record that the user starts may require a connection to Apple through StoreKit or App Store mechanisms. No file, model, or library data is transmitted to Druckarchiv. Apple's privacy terms apply to processing by Apple.

4. External apps and pages

Following an explicit action, selected compatible local files can be passed to a locally installed slicer app. The user may also open a localized support, update, file-format, or legal page in the default browser. Druckarchiv does not append user, device, file, or library data or a unique identifier to these URLs, and the app itself does not send a support request.

5. Email support

Email sent to support@druckarchiv.com or legal@druckarchiv.com is processed separately from the app. Ordinary support inquiries are deleted no later than twelve months after final resolution and earlier when no longer needed. Legal retention and evidence-preservation purposes remain separated and limited to the required period. Models, archives, logs, and other attachments should be sent only when expressly requested.

6. Controller, rights, and supervisory authority

Where Druckarchiv processes personal data outside the purely local use of the app, statutory rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Complaints may be lodged with the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany, www.datenschutz.rlp.de.

7. Draft notice

This page describes the intended Mac App Store edition of version 1.0.0. It is a working draft and is not yet the published policy for a released Store build. The final signed build, included components, Sandbox and StoreKit behavior, network connections, support process, Store metadata, and effective date must be checked before App Store submission.
